Founding Partner Story

After moving to Tampa in 2016, Jim Tormey has spent the last seven years operating private equity-backed businesses. However, with two young children and an affinity for this area, he decided to double down on Tampa Bay for the long term. He will leverage the skills and experiences he’s acquired from various leadership positions over the last decade to help a local business flourish as it embarks on its next chapter.

​Tormey is now looking to acquire and operate a local business with the aim of facilitating a favorable exit for its founder(s) / owners while also expanding its footprint and growth trajectory and improving its operations. Jim’s passion for this community and the people he works with fuels his eagerness to explore this new chapter in his professional journey.
